Alonso Perez Mariano (1857 - 1930)

Spanish and French painter, watercolorist and engraver. Born in Zaragoza, Spain. There he studied at the university, at the Faculty of Fine Arts. Until 1894 he lived and worked in Spain. Then he moved to Paris where he became a permanent exhibitor at various salons and was famous as a master of genre painting. He painted gallant scenes, portraits, landscapes and scenes of urban life. Made a series of engravings using the subjects of his paintings. His works are in the art museums of Spain and France.
