Vainshtein Moisei Isaakovych (1940 - 1981)

A Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in the town of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. He graduated from Kyiv Art Institute (1965) under the tutelage of M. Khmelko and the Art Studios of the USSR Academy of Arts in Kyiv (1967) under the guidance of  S. Grigoriev. He had participated in the republican and all-Union exhibitions since 1965. He painted narrative pictures, portraits and landscapes and created a series of the artworks "Landscapes of Kyiv" (1979 - 1981). Author of numerous watercolors and drawings. Developed the plastique of small forms. He lived and worked in Kyiv. The works are stored in the NAMU, the Kyiv National Museum of Russian Art, the Kyiv History Museum, and in private collections of different countries.
