Van Den Daele Casimir (1818 - 1880)

A famous Belgian painter. Born in the town of Deyins in the east of Flanders. In 1831 he moved to Antwerp. He studied at Ghent Academy of Arts. Since1852 he had lived and worked in Bruges. He painted historical and genre scenes. One of the main representatives of the Flemish school of painting of the nineteenth century. His works are stored in the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels, in the Mauritsheys Art Museum, and in the City Museum of Bruges.
