Vynants Jan (Wynants Jan, 1635 - 1684)

A famous Dutch landscape painter of the heyday of the national school of painting. Born in the city of Haarlem, the Netherlands. He worked in Haarlem, Rotterdam and Amsterdam (1659 - 1684). One can feel a significant influence of the Dutch famous landscape painter J. Ruisdael on his work. He achieved the height of the fame as a master of landscape, in particular, owing to his paintings depicting dunes and sandy slopes. One of the first fans of the untouched nature that always inspired him in his work. His works are stored in many museums around the world, including the State Hermitage Museum, and numerous private collections.
