Vzhesch (Vrzhesch) Yevghen Ksaveriyovych (1853 - 1917)

A Ukrainian painter, landscape painter. Born in the Kyiv province. He studied at the Drawing School of M. Murashko (1876 - 1880), then at St. Petersburg and Munich Academy of Arts. Since 1885 he had participated in the exhibitions of the Association of Itinerant Art Exhibitions (1885 - 1888), Moscow Society of Art Lovers (1889) and others. Member and exhibitor of the Association of the South Russia Artists (1890 - 1896), Kyiv Artists Association(1917), Kyiv Association of Art Exhibitions, Kyiv Society for Encouraging Arts. He lived and worked in Kyiv. Beautiful landscapes of the master were reproduced on numerous postcards. The works are stored in the NAMU and in other museums.
