Vyatkin Olexandr Vasylyovych (1922)

A Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in the town of Sarapul, Udmurtia. In the years of 1937 - 1941 he studied at Perm Art School under the tutelage of M. Semchenko. During the years of 1946 - 1952 he studied at Kharkiv Art Institute under the guidance of O. Kokel and P. Kotov. Participant of republican, all-Union and international art exhibitions since 1952. Member of the National Artists Union since 1960. His solo exhibitions were held in Kharkiv (1964 - 1966, 1972, 1986), Sarapul (1972), Izhevsk (1972), Kherson (1986) and other cities. In the years of 1958 - 1963 he taught drawing at Kharkiv Art Institute. From 1964 to 1976 he was the chief designer of Kharkiv. Today he is the professor of the Drawing Chair at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts.
