Gaposhkin Volodymyr Ilarionovych (1907 - 1961)

ARussian painter and stage designer. Born in Evpatoria. During 1926 - 1927 he studied at the art school in Zaporizhzhia, and from 1928 to 1930 at Higher Art and Technical Institute in Moscow, in the art studio of P. Kardovskyi, P. Konchalovskyi, and I. Rabynovych. From 1930 to 1931 he studied at Leningrad Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts. Since 1929 he had been an exhibitor of the art exhibitions. He lived and worked in Yaroslavl untill  1940 and then in Moscow. Author of articles on the Soviet art. Master of landscapes and historical paintings. The works are presented in Yaroslavl State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, Altay Regional Museum and others.
