Goronovych Vasyl Yakovych (II half XIX)

A Ukrainian artist, landscape painter. Born in Chernighiv provice. In the mid of the 1870s he studied at Kyiv Drawing School of M. Murashko and later - at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, where he had got the right to teach drawing at secondary schools. In 1882 he was awarded a silver medal for his landscape. In the same year he participated in the xhibitions of the Academy of Arts, the Association of the South-Russia Artists, the Society for Encouraging Arts. And in 1885 he was awarded the prize of the latter for the landscape composition. In 1887 his solo exhibition was held in Odessa. He taught drawing at high schools of Poltava province.
