Guida Mykhailo Yevgenovych (1955)

A Ukrainian painter, author of numerous cycluses of paintings, monumental paintings and graphic series. Born on a farmstead Tykhenkyi, Krasnodar region. From 1976 to 1982 he studied at Kyiv Art Institute, from 1983 to 1986 did his postgraduate studies at Lenigrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. Since 1982 he has been teaching at Kyiv Art Institute, professor (1995), head of the painting studio. From 1989 to 1993 - Chairman of the Kyiv National Artists Union, for some time he had been the secretary of the USSR Artists' Union. From 1988 to 2004 he held 13 exhibitions in Ukraine, the USA, Italy, Poland and China. Corresponding Member of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts (1998), People's Artist of Ukraine (2001), academician of fine arts and architecture. Honored Arts Worker of Ukraine, winner of the Prize n.a. I. Oghienko (2003).
