Erb Erno (1878 - 1943)

A Ukrainian painter. He studied in Berlin Art Academy, where he experienced creative influence of M. Lieberman. At the end of 1930s he joined Association of Independent Ukrainian Artists members of which were M. Glushchenko, O. Kulchytska, L. Gets and others. He participated in the first exhibition of the Association. He worked in Lviv and Truskavets. He was the owner of artistic workshops, which performed the painting, scenery, theatrical costumes and decorative painting for synagogues. He also depicted city views, domestic scenes, typical types of Ukrainian peasants and Jews, portraits. His works are stored in Lviv National Museum and in many private collections.
