Zakharov Fedir Zakharovych (1919 - 1994)

A Ukrainian painter, master of landscape and still life. Born in the village of Olexandrivske, now Smolensk region. During 1943 - 1950 he studied at Moscow Institute of Art under the guidance of A. Lentulov. From 1950 till 1953 he lived in Simferopol, taught at the local Art School (1950 - 1951). Since 1953 he lived and worked in Yalta. People's Artist of the Soviet Ukrainian Republic since 1978. In 1987 he won Ukrainian State Prize of T. Shevchenko. His works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the National Art Museum of Ukraine, in the Art Museums of Simferopol, Sevastopol, etc.
