Korochanskyy Michel (1866 - 1925)

An artist of the Russian emigration, painter. Born in Odessa. In 1885 he moved to Paris, he studied painting at the Academy of R. Julien. He worked in the workshops of W. Bouguereau and R. Fleury. In 1910 his personal exhibition took place at the Paris salon. He finished a lot of works commissioned by the government, for Luxembourg Museum in Paris in particular. Member of the French artists union and the Independent union. In 1909 one of the issues of New York Herald Tribune was devoted to the exhibition of the artist.
