A Ukrainian artist, worked in the fields of easel painting and book graphics. Born in the village of Hanzhonkove, Donetsk region. In 1942 he graduated from Kyiv Institute of Art (the workshop of K. Trokhymenko). Author of numerous monumental historical and heroic paintings ("Taras Bulba with children", "Grygoriy Kotovskyy", "Shchors and Bozhenko" etc.) and portraits. He lived and worked in Kyiv.
