Kurylko Mykhailo Ivanovych (1880 - 1969)

A Russian theater artist, engraver. He studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of I. Repin and V. Mate, graduated from the faculty of graphics of the Higher Art School in the Academy of Arts (1903 - 1913). After his studying he received the title of the engraver and the right for the foreign pension. The art director of Bolshoy Theatre (1924 - 1928), head of theatre  scenery workshops in Moscow Institute of Art (1948 - 1960). Professor of the Academy of Arts since 1940. Honored Artist of Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic since 1955.
