A famous German painter. Born in Kr_pelin. He studied painting in Weimar under the guidance of T. Hagen. In 1887 he graduated from Dresden Academy of Arts. He participated in many art exhibitions. In 1892 he received encouraging diploma at the exhibition in Berlin. His works are kept in private collections and museums around the world, including the Hermitage collection.
