Markova Nataliya Mykolayivna (Markoff Natasha, 1911 -?)

An emigration artist, author of landscapes and genre scenes. Born in Kharkiv in a wealthy merchant family. In 1920 she with her parents immigrated to Constantinople, and later she moved to Tunisia. From 1928 till 1932 she studied at the Art Teaching Center in Tunis. Since 1932 she participated in the Tunisian salon, since 1937 - member of the salon, since 1958 - member of the jury, exhibitor of French Africa exhibitions in Paris. In 1973 there was her solo exhibition in the Tunisian salon; the same year she won the prize II Pavone d'Oro in Rome. She traveled to Italy, Switzerland and France a lot. She taught painting in her own studio in Tunis. In 1982 she moved to France and settled in the suburbs of Paris, continued painting and participated in numerous art exhibitions.
