Otroschenko Sergiy Borysovych (1910 - 1988)

A Ukrainian and Russian artist, monumental painter, theater artist. Born in Omsk, Russia. From 1925 till 1929 he studied at Omsk Art and Industrial College, during 1930 - 1935 at the Theatre Faculty of Odessa Art Institute (the studio of V. Muller), from 1935 till 1940 - in Kyiv Institute of Art (the workshop of F. Krychevskyy). Participant of the art exhibitions since 1940. Member of the Artists' Union of the USSR since 1941. In 1968 he moved to Moscow, worked at the enterprise of monumental and decorative art of the Arts Foundation of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. In 2009 in Kiev there was held a memorial exhibition of the artist. His works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Museum of the Revolution in Moscow, Kyiv National Museum of the Russian Art, in the Art Museums of Odessa, Lugansk and in private collections.
