Stylianudi Olexander Mykolayovych (1868 - 1948)

A Ukrainian artist and landscape painter. Born in Odessa. He studied at Odessa Drawing School under the guidance of K. Kostandi, G. Ladyzhenskyy and O. Popov (1885 - 1890) and St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of P. Chistyakov, A. Kuindzhi, I. Repin (1890 - 1895). Active participant of the exhibitions of the Academy of Arts and the Society of southern Russian artists (since 1893 - member of the Society). Founding member of the Society of K. Kostandi (1922). A talented teacher, he taught drawing in many schools of Odessa. Since 1936 he worked in Odessa Building Institute, from 1942 till 1943 - in the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. His works are presented in Odessa Art Museum, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, etc.
