Sudkovskyy Rufin Gavrylovych (1850 - 1885)

A Russian and Ukrainian painter. Born in Ochakov, Mykolayiv province. He studied at Odessa Drawing School, from 1868 till 1873 - in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. In 1874 he went abroad. In 1877 he was promoted to the class artist of the 2nd degree, in 1879 of the 1st degree. Since 1881 - academician. He worked in the landscape genre, mostly as a sea painter. His works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and in the museum collections of Ukraine.
