Filatov Volodymyr (b 1930)

A Ukrainian painter who occupies a special place among the Crimean artists of the postwar era. Born in the village of Solomyne, Kursk region. In 1968 he graduated from Moscow University of Arts named after N. Krupskaya. Member of the Artists' Union of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic since 1984, honored artist of the Crimean Autonomous Republic since 2001. The masters works were presented at the exhibition "The Energy of the Crimea" in the State Tretyakov Gallery (2003). He lives and works in Evpatoria.
