An Irish artist. Since 1879 he studied at Crawford School of Art in Dublin. From 1881 till 1893 he took an active part in the exhibitions and competitions of the school; he was honored with numerous awards. In 1893 he became a teacher at school. He lived and worked in Dublin. Author of landscapes and genre scenes in the techniques of oil painting and watercolors. The marine theme occupied a special place in the artistХs work.
