Hendrickx Henry (1817 - 1894)

A famous Belgian painter. He received the first lessons of artistic skills from his father - the Rector of the Academy of Arts in Brussels. After graduation from the Academy of Arts he travelled a lot to Germany, Belgium and the western coast of France, since 1838 he lived in Paris for long. In 1839 at the Brussels Salon he successfully introduced two of his paintings "Mountain Landscape" and "At grass". The album on the history of Belgium consisting of 25 illustrated letters created by the master became widely known. He worked in the genres of landscape and historical paintings. The scenes depicting the majestic nature dominated in the creative work of the artist. His paintings are presented in the museums and private collections in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
