Henschel Ottmar (1845 -?)

A German painter. Born in Frankfurt-am-Main. Since 1864 he studied under the guidance of the artist K. Kaufmann in Manchester, from 1876 till 1877 under the guidance of V. Simmler in Dusseldorf. He traveled a lot to Belgium, the Netherlands, Great Britain. Since 1868 he led an active exhibition activity. The works of masters were highly appreciated by art critics at the exhibition in the Crystal Palace in London (1890). He lived and worked in D_sseldorf. He painted genre scenes and landscapes. His works are kept in the museums and private collections in Britain and Germany.
