Shreyberg Vasyl Pavlovych (1850 -?)

A Russian painter, watercolourist, decorator. Born in St. Petersburg. He studied at Reval classical school. After that - in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1879 - 1883). In 1879 he was awarded a small encouraging medal for historical composition, in 1880 he received a small and a large silver medals for landscape painting, in 1883 - a small silver medal for drawing. After 1883 he was engaged in decorative painting, painted temples and the ceilings of palaces. From 1886 till 1888 he lived and worked in Italy, where he created many landscapes in the academic tradition. Since 1888 he taught painting on porcelain in the drawing school of the Society for the Promotion of Artists.
