Yaroshynskyy Joseph (1835 - 1900)

A Polish painter. Born in Lviv. From 1958 till 1861 he lived in Krakow, then - in Vienna, where he studied in the Academy of Arts. In 1866 he made a trip to the Tatra Mountains. He had a residence in Delyatyn (Ivano-Frankivsk region.), so in the works of master the themes of Guzul life are often found. Since 1880 he lived in Munich, traveled a lot. He painted landscapes, genre scenes, horses, in his compositions he used literary and historical motifs. He also worked in the techniques of watercolour and lithography.
