A Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. Born in the village of Ripky, Chernihiv region. In 1953 he graduated from Kyiv Institute of Art under the guidance of M. Sharonov and S. Grygoriev. Participant of republican and all-union exhibitions since 1956. The same year he joined the National Union of Artists. From 1957 till 1963 he taught at the Republican art school, since 1963 - in Kyiv Institute of Art. Professor since 1979. During 1971 - 2008 he held more than ten solo exhibitions. He lives and works in Kyiv. Author of portraits, landscapes, historical scenes. His works are kept in the museums and private collections of Ukraine.
