Murzanov Volodymyr Olexiyovych (1872 - 1922)

A Ukrainian painter and graphic artist. From 1892 till 1895 he studied at St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of I. Repin. In 1910 he opened "The school of painting, drawing and modelling"in Mykolayiv. One of the founders of the Society of Fine Arts named after V. Vereshchagin (1913 - 1918). He founded the Art Museum named after V. Vereshchagin in Mykolayiv; he was the headmaster and the keeper in chief of this museum since 1922. Author of landscapes and thematic pictures. His works are stored in the Art Museum of Mykolayiv and in other museums of Ukraine.
