Verlaan Cornelis (1866 - 1930)

A Belgian painter and graphic artist. Born in Schaerbeek, Belgium. He took painting lessons from the famous Belgian artist M. Verl, who headed the Artists Association in Antwerp. He exhibited his works at the Ghent salon. He participated in the creation of the colony of artists in the city of Sint-Martens-Latem (Belgium), which is called "Latem school". During the First World War he lived in London, in 1920 he returned to Belgium. He painted landscapes and still lives.
