Kachkin Yuriy Yakovych (1960)

A Ukrainian painter. Born in Marganets, Dnipropetrovsk region. Autodidact. Since 2006 he takes part in the nationwide exhibitions of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 2008 he has held over twenty solo exhibitions. He created a lot of thematic series, among them: "St. Andrew's Descent and its residents", "Kyiv - eternal and changeable," "Pure knowledge" and others. He lives and works in Kyiv. He is widely known as a master of the open air miniature. Author of landscapes, portraits, still lives and symbolic paintings. His works are kept in the National Art Museum of M. K. Churlyonis in Kaunas, in the Museum of Kyiv History, in the Historical and Memorial Museum of M. Grushevskyy in Kyiv, etc.
