Klin Lev Mykhaylovych (Gershevych Shaya-Movsha, Klin Lev, 1887 - 1967)

A representative of the Russia abroad, painter. Born in Volkovysk, Grodno province. From 1902 till 1907 he studied at Odessa Drawing School, since 1907 - in St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of D. Kardovskyy. Exhibitor of the academic exhibitions (1911, 1912, 1914). He received the title of the artist in 1914. In the 1920s he settled in London. He painted portraits and still lives. He participated in the exhibitions of the Royal Union of portrait painters, of the United Society of artists, the Artists’ Union of Chelsea, the Union of the artists- temperists, the New English Art Club, etc. He exhibited his works at the exhibitions in Eastbourne, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Sunderland, Belfast, Stratford, Sheffield. His works are kept in the Municipal Gallery of Sunderland, in Russell-Cotes Gallery in Bournemouth and in many others.
