Jaeckel Robert Hugo (1872 - 1952)
A German painter and graphic artist. Born in Jablonec, now the Czech Republic. He graduated from Vienna Academy of Arts. In the 1900s he taught in the colony of artists in Ahrenshoop (Germany). From 1914 till 1918 he was at war on the Eastern Front. Since 1919 he lived in Vienna. In 1927 he moved to Sweden. Professor of painting. He painted altar pieces for the cathedrals of Austria and Sweden. Author of landscapes, portraits and genre scenes.
