Obrynba Mykola Ipolytovych (1913 - 1996)

A Ukrainian and Russian painter. Born in Epiphan, Tula region. From 1933 till 1936 he studied in Kharkiv Institute of Art under the guidance of M. Samokysha, in 1940 he graduated from Kyiv Institute of Art from the course of G. Pokarzhevskyy. Since 1931 – participant of the exhibitions. During 1944 -1950 he was a member of the Studio of Military Artists named after M. Grekov. Member of the Artists' Union of the USSR since 1950. Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic since 1969. He lived and worked in Moscow. He painted landscapes and thematic pictures. His works are kept in Lviv Art Gallery, in the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War, in the Museum-Panorama "Borodino Battle" in Moscow and in the private collections of Ukraine, Russia, Italy and France.
