Calves Marie Didiere (1883 - 1957)
A French artist, painter and watercolourist. She was born in Paris. Her father the artist Jean Calves taught her. At the age of 12 years, she made her debut on the show and won the silver medal. Since 1905 - member of the Society of the French artists. She worked at the drawings for the hunting magazines and posters for dog shows. In 1905 and 1908 the French government purchased several works of the artist for government institutions. She lived in Paris. She mostly painted hunting scenes. Her works are kept in the Art Museum of Cannes and in other French museums.
