Saul Rabinowitz (Rabino Saul, 1892 - 1969)

An artist of emigration, painter, lithographer, sculptor. Born in Odessa. He studied at the Higher Art School in St. Petersburg , then - at the school of decorative arts in Paris. In 1932 he settled in Los Angeles, where he immediately became an active participant of the artistic life, exhibited his works at the numerous exhibitions. He took an active part in the life of the Jewish community and created many works devoted to the Jewish history and life. The name of the master is mentioned in most American art reference books, particularly in Who Was Who in American Art, Hughes, Mallet, Davenport, and in many others. His works are kept in Auckland Art Museum, in the Collection of the Public Library in Los Angeles, etc.
