Moucheron Frederik de (1633 1686)

Dutch painter. Born in Emden, Lower Saxony. The son of the painter B. de Moucheron. Studied under the guidance of J. Asselijn in Amsterdam. In 1655 - 1658 he lived in Paris, then in Lyon and Antwerp. In 1659 settled in Amsterdam. He painted French, Italian and Dutch landscapes. Works are stored in the Louvre, the Hermitage, London National Gallery, the State Museum in Amsterdam, the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover, Palazzo Pitti in Florence, the Getty Museum in Los Angeles and many others.
