Marderosov Leonid I. (1880 - 1936)

Russian painter. Born in St. Petersburg. In 1894 - 1899 got elementary art education in Odessa. In 1901 - 1909 he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under the guidance of D. Kardovskii. Since 1912, he participated in exhibitions of the Society of St. Petersburg artists, of the Society of Artists after in 1-st free exhibition in St. Petersburg (1914). Member and exhibitor of the Society of Artists after A. Kuindzhi. the author of landscapes and genre motifs. The pictures were repeatedly reproduced in pre-revolutionary magazines "Capital and Country", "Sun of Russia", "Field", "Family", etc.. His works are kept in the State Russian Museum, Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts, Taganrog Museum of Art and others.
