Vietze Josef (1902 1988)

Czech and German painter and graphic artist. Born in Gornji Podluzh, Czech Republic. In 1916 - 1920 studied the art of lithography, worked in Cracow, Prague and the Czech lipid. Later he continued his studies at the Prague Academy of Arts under the guidance of H. Honih (1929 - 1934) and V. Nechleb (1934 - 1937). In 1940 - 1945 he taught at the Academy of Arts, Professor since 1940. Participated in many exhibitions. The author of portraits, landscapes, still lifes and genre scenes. His works are kept in the National Gallery in Prague and other museums and private collections.
