Hainz Johann Georg (1630 - 1700)

A German painter, one of the few prominent German masters of still life of the XVII century. Born in Altenau, Germany. He studied the art in the workshops of Amsterdam and Harlem. Since 1660 he lived in Hamburg, where in 1668 he gained the rights of citizenship. In 1681 he joined the local guild of painters. His works are stored in Hamburg Museum of Arts and Crafts, the Museum of Decorative Arts in Berlin and in other German Art Museums.
