Hegg Theresa Maria de, Landerset Teresa Maria (1829 1911)

Swiss artist, painter and watercolorist. Born in Freiburg, Germany. Got art education in Geneva and Lyon. In 1872 - 1893 had been a regular exhibitor of the Royal Watercolorists' Society in London, a member of the Society since 1886. Took part in exhibitions of the Society of American watercolorists in New York in 1878 and 1880. Works of the artist were reproduced by L. Prang, the famous American publisher of chromolithographs. She lived and worked in Switzerland, often carried creative journeys to France and worked in Cannes, Nice, Lausanne, Avignon. Gained international fame as a master of floral watercolors. Works are kept in the Museum of Fine Arts in Lausanne and other museum collections in Europe and the USA.
