Oehme Georg Egmont (1890–1955)
German painter and graphic artist. The representative of the famous dynasty of artists. Born in Dresden. In 1908 - 1911 studied at the Dresden Academy of Arts under the guidance of Tsvinsher A. and G. Kyuel. At his 18 had been a popular portraitist, in 1910 one of the portraits of the master was purchased to the collection of the Dresden Art Gallery. In 1911 - 1912 stayed in Russia, studied landscape painting in St. Petersburg. In 1913 he returned to Germany, he taught painting at the School of Art in Brunswick, in 1923 - 1926th - in Dresden. In 1919 together with his brother H. Oehme held a joint exhibition in the halls of the Saxon Art Association in Dresden. Since 1944 Professor and member of the Saxon Union of Artists, since 1945 a member of the Saxon Art Association. Exhibitor in Berlin, Dresden and Munich. He worked in the genres of portraiture and landscape. Works are kept in the Museum of Art in Dresden, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and others.
