Andrea Willem Lodewijk (1817 – 1873)

Dutch painter and graphic artist. Born in Hague. He received his artistic education at the Hague Academy of Arts. In 1849 he moved to Antwerp. He painted mostly landscapes and marine scenes in ports. He collaborated with artist J. Hartogensis, created a series of etchings based on his works. His works are kept in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and other museum collections in the Netherlands and Belgium.
